Exposure to the Scottish climate takes its toll on even the finest stone. Lichen, moss, algae and general weathering can make a memorial difficult to read and less dignified than it deserves to be.

Our professional cleaning process uses specialist stone-safe products that remove biological growth and weathering without damaging the stone's surface. We can also re-gild lettering that has faded.

Headstones that have become unstable, leaned, or have been pushed over represent both a safety concern and a source of distress for families. Cemeteries carry out regular safety inspections and will lay down memorials they consider a risk.

We assess, re-fix and repair to current cemetery health and safety guidelines, ensuring stability without compromising the stone's appearance. We can also work with families whose stones have been laid down by the cemetery to have them reinstated correctly.

A photograph engraved directly into granite creates a portrait that will last as long as the stone itself. We can add a photograph to a new memorial or to an existing headstone, and our in-house digital team will enhance, restore or retouch any image to the standard required — so even an old, faded or low-resolution photograph can produce a beautiful result.

We handle the entire process ourselves. You simply provide the photograph — we do the rest.

We engrave a QR code directly into the granite — not a tag, not a sticker, not an adhesive plate. The code is part of the stone. Scanning it with any smartphone opens a private digital memorial page where the family can share photographs, life stories, tributes and memories — curated entirely by them, and updated whenever they wish.

Some companies offer stick-on QR tags. We don't — because tags fade, peel and can be removed. An engraved QR code will be readable for as long as the stone stands.
